Team and access

The People page

See who reaches a workspace, what each person can open, which invitations are waiting, and the rules that apply to every project.

People is where you manage the members of one workspace. Open Settings, choose the Workspace tab, then People.

Who can use it: admins, the Owners of the account that holds the workspace, and members whose custom role includes Invite, re-role and remove members. Translators, reviewers and developers do not see the page.

What the page shows

Invite someone

The Invite someone button at the top opens the invitation dialog. See Invite a teammate.

Account Owners

When the Owners of the account reach this workspace, they are listed first, under Account Owners. The card reads "They control every workspace in" followed by the account's name, "and each takes one seat." Each row shows a name, an email address and whether that person holds a second factor. There is no role picker and no Remove on these rows, because their access is "changed on the account, not here". An account Owner also sees Manage, which opens the account's Owners & billing members page.

Waiting to accept

Invitations nobody has accepted yet, each with the role it was sent at (Invited as), what it will reach, and when it Expires. Resend appears beside an invitation at a role you can hand out, and Revoke beside every one. An unaccepted invitation reaches nothing.

Who reaches what

Everyone else in the workspace, with their name and email address, their access (all projects or project-scoped), whether they hold a second factor, and their role. The role is a picker, and Remove takes someone out of the workspace. Both ask you to confirm first. While nobody but the account Owners reaches the workspace, this list reads "Nobody else reaches this workspace yet."

What each role can do

The permissions table for every role in the workspace, including your custom roles. The same table is explained in Roles and what each one can do.

Policy

Rules that apply to every project in the workspace:

  • Require a second reviewer: "Nobody signs off a translation they wrote themselves, in any project, the account's Owners and admins included. Leave this off for a workspace where one person both translates and approves." The switch saves as you change it.
  • The workspace's two-factor requirement, shown as Required for everyone in this workspace or Not required in this workspace, with a Workspace security button. Only an account Owner sees this row, and the switch itself is on the workspace Security page. See Require two-factor for a workspace.

Seats are counted per person

Each person who reaches any workspace of the account takes one seat, however many workspaces they reach. A waiting invitation also holds a seat until it is accepted or expires. Your plan's seat limit is listed on transglot.ai/pricing.
