Connect Confluence
Import the pages of a Confluence space into transglot for translation.
Import only
Nothing is written back to Confluence. Confluence has no per-page translation: a translated page lives in a separate space or page, not in a field of the original. Take the translations out through the REST API, the transglot CLI or the CDN.
| Direction | Import only |
| Imported | The title and body of every page in one space |
| Written back | Nothing |
| Sync | Sync from CMS |
| Plan | Starter and above |
Before you start
- The connector works with Confluence sites on
atlassian.net. - Create an API token for your Atlassian account in your Atlassian account's security settings. The account needs read access to the space.
- Note the space key, which appears in the space URL (for example
/wiki/spaces/DOCS).
Connect
Open your project's settings, choose CMS, and pick Confluence in the CMS list.
| Field | What to enter |
|---|---|
| Atlassian site | Only the site name, for example acme for acme.atlassian.net |
| Space key | The key of the space holding the pages, for example DOCS |
| Email & API token | Your Atlassian account email and the API token, as you@example.com:api_token |
| Content types | pages |
| Translatable fields | title, body, or both |
Select Connect, then Test connection. A successful test names the space.
What gets imported
transglot reads every page in the space and imports its title and its body. The body is imported in Confluence's storage format, so the page markup comes with the text.
Troubleshooting
The Confluence space [DOCS] was not found. Check the space key.The key is wrong, or the account cannot see the space.... the credentials were rejected.Check the email and token, entered asemail:token.... the space or page was not found, check the site and space key.Check Atlassian site holds only the site name.... Confluence is rate-limiting the request, retry.Wait and run the sync again.
