Connect Notion
Import the title and text properties of Notion database pages into transglot for translation.
Import only
Nothing is written back to Notion. A Notion page is single-language and has no per-language slot to write into. Take the translations out through the REST API, the transglot CLI or the CDN.
| Direction | Import only |
| Imported | The title property and the text properties you map, on the pages of the databases you choose |
| Written back | Nothing |
| Sync | Sync from CMS |
| Plan | Starter and above |
Before you start
- Create an internal integration in Notion's integration settings and copy its token.
- Share each database you want to import with the integration. A database is not visible to the API until you do.
Connect
Open your project's settings, choose CMS, and pick Notion in the CMS list. There is no URL to type.
| Field | What to enter |
|---|---|
| Integration token | The internal integration token, for example ntn_… |
| Content types | Database IDs, comma separated |
| Translatable fields | Property names, comma separated, for example Name, Summary |
Select Connect, then Test connection. A successful test names the integration's bot user.
What gets imported
For each page in each database, transglot imports the plain text of the properties you map. Only title and rich_text properties are read, and their formatting is not kept. The page body (its blocks) is not imported.
Troubleshooting
Failed verifying the Notion token: the credentials were rejected. The token is wrong or the integration was removed.... the database or page was not found, check it is shared with the integration.Share the database with the integration in Notion, and check the database ID.- A property never appears as a key: check the name matches exactly and the property is a title or text property.
