Your assignments
See every language assigned to you, start the work, and submit it for review when it is done.
When an Admin assigns you a language, it becomes a work order with a status, a progress figure and, sometimes, a due date and a brief. You are notified in the console and by email.
Find your work
Select Assignments in the workspace navigation. My assignments lists every language assigned to you, across the workspace's projects, under Assigned to you: the language, its status, its progress and what you can do next. Only work assigned to you appears here.
Inside a project, Review assignments in the project navigation shows the work orders on that project. Admins see every work order there; everyone else sees their own.
Progress counts the language's approved strings against the project's keys, so it moves when a reviewer approves your translations, not when you save them.
Work through an assignment
Start
Select Start. The work order moves to In progress and the editor opens on the assigned language. To come back to it later, select the language's name on the work order.
Translate
Translate and correct the strings. Filters, then Untranslated only, shows what is left. See Translate a string.
Submit for review
When you are done, select Submit for review. The confirmation lists anything still not translated or not approved, and says who will be told. The work order moves to Submitted for review.
Until a reviewer acts on it, you can select Withdraw to take it back: it returns to In progress and the people told about the submission are told it was withdrawn.
Statuses
| Status | Meaning | What you can do |
|---|---|---|
| Assigned | Created, not started. | Start, or Submit for review |
| In progress | You have started. | Submit for review |
| Submitted for review | You have said it is done. | Withdraw |
| Changes requested | A reviewer sent it back, with a note on what to change. | Start, or Submit for review |
| Approved | A reviewer signed it off. This is final. | Nothing: the work order is closed. |
Reviewers see Approve and Request changes on submitted work orders. Nobody can approve or send back their own. See Assign a language to a translator.
Who is told
| Event | Who is notified |
|---|---|
| A language is assigned to you | You |
| You submit or withdraw | The person who assigned it |
| The work order is approved, or changes are requested | You |
These notifications are emailed by default. Change that in your notification preferences.
If it doesn't work
- "No assignments yet": nothing is assigned to you in this workspace.
- "Your access to language was removed.": an Admin removed your access to that language or project after it was assigned. Ask them to restore it.
- "de is waiting for review. Withdraw it to keep working on it.": you selected Start on submitted work. Withdraw it first.
- "de is not waiting for review, so there is nothing to withdraw. Reload the page to see where it stands.": a reviewer acted on it before you withdrew it.

Assign a language to a translator
Hand one or more languages to a translator or vendor as tracked work, with a due date and a brief, and open those languages to them.
Why was my translation flagged for review?
A translation needs checking because an automatic check found a problem, because it was not confident enough to skip review, or because a person asked for a second look.
