Invoices and payment
Download the account's invoices, change the card and billing details, and fix a failed payment.
Who can do this: the Owners and Billing members of the account.
Everything here is on the account's Plan & billing page: open Settings, choose the Account tab, then Plan & billing. Card details, tax details and the billing email are edited in the payment portal, run by our payment provider, Stripe. They never reach transglot.
Download an invoice
Find the invoice
Scroll to Invoices. Each row shows the invoice, its Date, Amount and Status.
Download it
Select Download on its row. The PDFs are hosted by Stripe.
Free accounts are not invoiced, so the list starts with the first paid cycle. An account on a trial shows "No invoices yet. The first one is issued on" the date the trial converts.
Change the card or billing details
Open the payment portal
Select Manage payment at the top of Plan & billing, or Update card on the Payment card.
Make the change
In the portal, change the card, the billing address, the tax details or the billing email.
Return to transglot
Go back to Plan & billing. The Payment card shows the card on file, for example "Visa ending 4242", and when it expires.
Company details shows what invoices are addressed to: the Name, Country and Billing email. A billing email that belongs to nobody on the account is marked "not a member of this account". Select Edit in the payment portal to change them. Renaming the account does not change invoices already issued.
When a payment fails
If a payment cannot be collected, Plan & billing shows Payment failed. and asks you to Update your card to keep your plan. Every workspace of the account shows a banner too, because "translation, pushes and new members are paused" in them. "Reading, editing and export still work."
Update the card
Select Update card and replace the card in the payment portal. If your bank needs to confirm the payment, select Confirm the payment instead.
Check the payment
Back on Plan & billing, select Check payment again. When the payment has gone through, the message reads "Payment confirmed. Translation has resumed."
Translation runs that the failed payment stopped restart on their own if the payment goes through within 72 hours. Older runs are not restarted, because their source may have changed since; the workspace's developers are told instead.
While a payment is outstanding, plan changes are paused. If a renewal invoice stays unpaid for 30 days after its payment first failed, the subscription ends. The invoice stays payable, and the account stays paused until it is paid.
If it doesn't work
- "Invoices could not be loaded from Stripe just now. Your plan and card are unaffected.": select Try again.
- "Stripe has not confirmed a payment yet.": wait a moment and check again. Check payment again can be used once a minute.
- There is no Manage payment button: the account has never bought a plan. A payment method is added at checkout, when a paid plan is bought.
