Close an account
Cancel the account's subscription, issue its final bill and delete its workspaces, with a window in which any Owner can cancel.
Who can do this: the Owners of the account.
Closing an account is how you stop paying and remove everything the account holds. To keep using transglot on Free instead, move the account to Free.
Before you start
- Export anything you need from the account's workspaces.
- To keep a workspace, move it to another account first.
- Read the summary under Close this account. For an account with a subscription, closing "Cancels the" plan's "subscription today, with no refund of the time left, and bills usage beyond the plan so far" on a final invoice.
Open the account's General settings
Open Settings, choose the Account tab, then General.
Start closing
Under Close this account, select Close account.
Confirm it is you
Closing needs a confirmation from the last 15 minutes. Choose Confirm your password, or Email me a code and enter the 6-digit code under Code from the email, then select Check code.
Type the account name
Type the account's name into the Account name box exactly as it is written.
Confirm
Select Close account.
What happens next
- The subscription is cancelled and the final bill is issued, usually within 15 minutes. The final invoice is emailed to the billing address.
- Every workspace of the account becomes read-only straight away, and is deleted after the date shown.
- The account's General page reads Closing on followed by the day closing finishes and the timezone that day is written in, for example Closing on 9 Nov, UTC. Any Owner can select Cancel closing until the workspaces are deleted.
- Invoices stay available to the account's Owners and Billing members after the account has closed, until the date shown on Plan & billing.
An account with no workspaces that has never been billed closes at once.
Cancel closing
Select Cancel closing on the account's General page, or on the banner in any of its workspaces, then confirm. The workspaces are no longer scheduled for deletion. If the subscription was already cancelled, it cannot be restored, the time left on it is not refunded, and the account stays open on Free: subscribe again to get your plan back. Workspaces beyond what Free includes then become read-only, as they do after a move to Free.
If you cancel within the first few minutes, while the final bill is still being issued, the page asks you to wait until that is done.
If it doesn't work
