Billing and plans

What happens if I cancel?

Moving a paid account to Free keeps your plan until the end of the paid period, then keeps one workspace active and makes the others read-only.

Who can do this: the Owners of the account. A Billing member cannot cancel: the message names the Owners who can.

Cancelling a paid plan means moving the account to Free. The subscription ends at the close of the current billing period, not straight away, and you keep everything your plan gives you until then.

Cancel the subscription

Pick Free

Open Settings, choose the Account tab, then Plan & billing. Under Where you sit, select Free, then Downgrade to Free.

Read what will change

Move to Free? states the date the subscription ends, which workspaces become read-only and when they would be deleted, and which seats and projects stop accepting new work.

Choose the workspace that stays active

If the account has more than one workspace, choose one under Which workspace stays active. Free includes one workspace.

Confirm

Select Downgrade to Free. The message reads "The subscription ends on" the date, and that the account moves to Free then.

Until the period ends, Plan & billing shows A change at the period end. To keep your plan after all, select Cancel scheduled change, then confirm. "Cancellation withdrawn."

When the account moves to Free

  • One workspace stays active. Its projects, keys, translations, glossary and history are all still there.
  • Every other workspace becomes read-only and is deleted after the date shown, unless you upgrade or move it to another account first. Members can still read and export everything in it. An Owner can change which workspace stays active on the account's Workspaces page, under Which workspace stays active on Free.
  • The Free limits apply. Seats and projects above the Free limits stop accepting new work, and the Free word allowance applies. Limits are listed on transglot.ai/pricing.
  • Features above Free stop: the API, CLI and GitHub Action, webhooks, the in-context editor, the glossary and CDN publishing, and on higher plans quality mode, AI profiles, single sign-on, SCIM, the audit log and branding.
  • Usage-based billing stops, because Free does not sell words beyond the plan.

Check CDN publishing before you cancel

If your app loads translations from the CDN, new translations stop being published to it once the account is on Free. Plan for that before the period ends.

A person can own one Free account at a time. If an Owner of this account already owns another Free account, this one has no words once it moves to Free: resubscribe, move its workspaces, or close it.

Cancelling during a trial

Moving to Free during a trial ends the trial on its end date without a charge. "Trial words stop now, and features stay until then. Nothing is charged."
