Your plan and seats
How plans work on an account, what the Plan & billing page shows, and how seats, projects, languages and workspaces are counted.
Who can use it: the Owners and Billing members of the account. Workspace roles, Admin included, do not see billing.
One plan for the whole account
Your workspaces belong to an account, and the plan belongs to the account, not to a workspace. One plan covers every workspace in the account: the plan's words are shared by all of them, and its limits on seats, projects, languages and workspaces are counted across all of them. See Account Owners and Billing members for who manages the account.
The plans are Free, Starter, Team, Business and Enterprise, which is arranged with sales rather than bought at checkout. Open-source projects can apply for the open source plan. Current prices and allowances are on transglot.ai/pricing.
The Plan & billing page
Open Settings, choose the Account tab, then Plan & billing. The page shows:
- The header: the plan and when it renews, and Manage payment, which opens the payment portal.
- Plan: the Current plan, its Plan price, when it Renews, the Words included each cycle, and the plan's Workspaces, Seats, Projects and Languages, and its Translation speed. On Free, it also shows your Welcome words.
- Payment and Company details: the card on file and what invoices are addressed to. See Invoices and payment.
- Where you sit: every plan side by side, with a Pay annually switch and the one action that changes your plan. See Change your plan.
- Compare in detail: what each plan includes, row by row.
- Invoices and Promo code.
The words you have used this cycle are on the account's Usage page. See What counts towards my usage?.
How the limits are counted
The Plan limits card on the Usage page lists what your plan allows across the account, and what counts:
| Limit | What counts |
|---|---|
| Seats | "Anyone in any workspace of the account, account owners included, counted once." |
| Projects | "Every project in every workspace of the account." |
| Languages | "Every distinct language across the account's projects, the source language included." A language one project already uses is free to add to another. |
| Workspaces | "Every workspace of the account." Free and the open source plan include one workspace. |
A waiting invitation holds a seat until it is accepted or expires. Team and the plans above it have no seat limit.
When a limit is reached, the action that would pass it is refused, and the message names the account's Owners, who can upgrade or free room.

Welcome words on Free
A new Free account receives welcome words on top of the monthly allowance. Part arrives when the account is activated, and the rest after a one-time mobile number check on the account's Welcome words page ("Each number works once."). Welcome words come once per person. The cycle's words are spent first, so a quiet month costs the welcome words nothing. Welcome words are used only on Free. The amounts are listed on transglot.ai/pricing.
